So these are our suggestions for Scary Stories that shouldn’t be missed. 
  •  The Vampire Stalker by Allison van  Diepen (Ages 8-12)
  • Nothing is better than Bram Stoker’s Dracula
  • Frankenstein  
  • Jane Eyre and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, The Secret Garden is a bit spooky until she meets her cousin but ultimately the story is happy.

  The Dollhouse Murders by Betty Ren Wright for younger readers, 
  •  Whisper of Death by Christopher Pike for teens, and for adults 
  • Anything by Carol Goodman, particularly The Drowning Tree.  
  • The whole series of Bunnicula
  • For adults: any book  by Stephen King.
 
  • Scary Storiesto Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz
  • The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. 
  • “Anything by…”  R.L. Stine. Claws.
